How a visit is arranged
The usual way is a phone call. Call us at 516.757.2557 and we’ll set up a tour of the program you’re considering.
You can also request a tour online. Our staff will then call you to arrange a time. Sending the form doesn’t book a time.
Before the visit, note down a few things
- Which location you’d use: Massapequa (187 Veterans Boulevard) or Seaford (3818 Merrick Road).
- The session you have in mind (morning, afternoon or full day) and how many days a week.
- What your mom or dad enjoys, such as music, trivia or crafts.
- Their daily routine, such as mealtimes and when they like to rest.
- Anything you’re unsure about, including the help they may need.
Keep health details for when you speak with our staff.
Who comes to the visit
Ask our staff whether to come on your own first or bring your parent with you. It also helps to confirm the address, where to park and which entrance to use.
Questions to ask while you’re there
- How would my parent spend a morning or an afternoon here?
- How do you help someone new settle in during the first few days?
- What should they bring each day, and where are personal things kept?
- Is there space in the session we prefer, and what would it cost?
- If we decide to go ahead, what happens next?

What to notice
Look at how people are spending their time and how staff talk with them. Notice whether the rooms feel comfortable and whether your parent seems at ease.
You don’t need to decide on the day. Talk it over at home, and call or email us with anything you think of later.
